DIANE'S CORNER

March 13 was a 'work Saturday'.  Our volunteers for February and March have included Danielle and     from the LMTC office, members Don Stevens, Susan Ioannides and Rollie Buckalew (he put down the bender board for the path0, Helen and Phil Pittman (Phil has become our resident waterer) and Oleg Usherman (Henry High student). Thanks to there help we had things looking pretty good for the social on April 10th. 

RCP Rock and Brick gave us a better price than KRC Rock for the decomposed granite for the pathway.  I paid to have it laid and rolled by someone who had the know-how and equipment. A table (donated by the family of Kathy Williams) will go down at the end of the path as soon as it comes in.

We had the weeds cleared around the courts by Kathy's son.  And member Michelle Riley has adopted the care of the roses.

While the rains have water everything very well, the weeds have grown faster than the other plants! This is a great time to do some weeding so I am encouraging any help I can get.  We will continue to have our work Saturday on the second Saturday of the month.
